The SustForest Plus project will be present at the forestry innovation conference "Science to Practice: Advances in mechanization of resin harvesting" to be held on 23 October in the town of Tardelcuende de Soria.

The conference is part of the activity of the European resin innovation network Resins iNet INCREDIBLE project funded by the European program for innovation HORIZON 2020.

Throughout the day the challenges of innovation in mechanisation of resin forest exploitation will be analysed. Public and private research entities will present their proposals for evolutionary, open and disruptive innovation, both in the field of extraction and for the collection or logistical control of resin operations.

The tools, machines, methods and systems presented during the day offer solutions for different operating scenarios. One of the sessions will be dedicated to the presentation of a project of efficiency and profitability analysis of each of the resination systems, both innovative and classic, to offer planners and managers a standardized technical reference to choose and decide which system is more suitable for each case.

The Science to Practice conference will conclude with a round table in which the future of innovation in resin mechanisation will be analysed, and progress will be made in the approach to the challenges faced by the sector in this area.
